Today in science, each student was given a collection of beads on a piece of string. The instruction - wear the beads all weekend in a variety of different environments (e.g. outside, in water, in the dark, playing sports) and observe any changes. Next week, we will be discussing the importance of independent and dependent variables and controls in experimental design. Students will be designing and conducting their own experiments to determine what makes these beads "magic".
